Renzo Piano has used for this project traditional materials of Rome: travertine to cover the steps of the auditorium, the foyer and revenue; the Roman brick (25x12x4), to cover all vertical surfaces; Lead pre-oxidized for the shells of the three halls. These are just some of the main materials used in the construction and visible in the photo, but it is easy to imagine that many of them come from the global economy as for example the lead that strongly characterizes the project although the main deposits are in Australia, USA and Mexico.
