We can see a building from the 20th century in the municipally of Bustarviejo, a small village 60 km away from Madrid. As we can see, its construction materials are mainly wood (inside) and stone; natural resources that can be extracted from the nearby quarry and woodland. Nonetheless we can also clearly see how globalization has influenced in building materials. The exterior cladding, PVC windows, aluminium handrails, exterior lights etc. are all elements made of materials that cannot be found in the county of Madrid, and are therefore a result of globalization. ![Town Hall][1] To summarize, I think future cities will revolutionize not only metropolis, but also other urbanized territories in the same way and as fast as globalization has intervened in the materials used for building.
