I took a long time to write this topic, because as i commented in another post, almost all materials used in construction in Brasil are national. Of course, small components or mechanical devices are sometimes from foreign countries, but usually main systems such as structure or wall are made with national elements. The building above is Matarazzo Tower, an tall building of office space with a shopping base located in one of the most important avenues in São Paulo: "Avenida Paulista". As you see in the picture, the building was erected on reinforced concrete not only in its foundations, columns, slabs but also in its diaphragm walls to deal with the subway line right in front of it. The glazing system is made of large panels integrated with shading systems made of aluminium. Maybe there is some global component in this facade, but as far as I know, it is developed and produced by a brazilian company called ITEFAL (see: http://itefal.com.br/novidades/page/2/). Probably some ceiling or hvac component is not national, but I really do not know. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1417031540180985.jpg
