below you can find a picture taken by me during the visit of construction site of luxury townhouses project, here in Karaganda (Central Kazakhstan). The houses are made of loam bricks which are brought from the south of the country. The cement is from local cement plant. Concrete is also from local batching plants. Local area is rich with high strength aggregates used in concrete. I want you to focus on the shell limestones (the white ones). This limestone is durable, aesthetic, easy processed and is used on the facades of the houses. It is brought from Republic of Dagestan (Russia). Nevertheless the limestone covers more than 3500 kilometers until it reaches the site, the final price is still quite feasible. The contractor brings the blocks of limestone to site and processes the blocks into small pieces on site as well. In red circle you can see the worker cutting the limestone into small pieces. I have to add that the materials used for interior of the houses are also imported from other countries. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14140866646900211.jpg
