This photo aims to make a comment on the major change in the way of construction in the city of Athens during the ages. The ancient theatre was constructed mainly by stone and marble of the area of Athens and it is still standing there after thousands of years. This is an example of a localized construction since these construction materials were plentiful in the Greek land. Whereas, nowadays the main construction material is concrete and the forms that come from concrete follow a globalized example (serve the rules of a globalized economy) which is not associated with the local demands leading to this contrasting image.
