This is the construction site for Singapore's tallest building, Tanjong Pagar Centre. The concrete and steel that form the structure of the building are imported (in fact, a dispute over the import of sand from nearby Indonesia has increased construction costs). The design of the building is "imported" as it was designed by the international firm SOM. The developer providing the capital is Malaysian. The tenants in the future building are also more likely to be foreigners, particularly for the residential units in the top of the tower. And the construction workers (a few are pictured) are overwhelmingly foreign, from Bangladesh, China and elsewhere in Southeast Asia. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14134702637480409.jpg
