Nowdays are more of 30 new buildings in the beach zone over 30 stories each but using the same construction tecniques that wastes large amount of water, produces high level of CO2, noise and light pollution. Even though the lack of sustainable technologies, this new urban movement has increased the importation of construction material, mostly steel from Brazil. New concrete factories are moving in to support demand and has help the local economy. This picture was taken during the deep foundation construction.
