In the 1960s it was rendered over with cement and wooden windows were replaced with aluminum ones. We have renovated inside and the tiles are from Italy and Thailand, solar panels from Germany, timber doors from Indonesian wood. Most of our raw materials, such as iron ore, are refined into steel in China. We then buy the steel back. Our houses here are made from products sourced globally.
