(selfconstruction with the help of a coordination team and some local experts) The black walls are actually made of reused pallet, impregnated with exhausted oil (the already used one). Also the plaster is sustainable: is made by 1 part of concrete and 10 parts of clay, that is a local and cheap traditional material, that also has good thermal qualities. What was no possible to find is the timber for the structure: is was bought on site, but come from USA. It's a pity but there is no local wood industry and any better alternative. The picture is mine, but the project credits goes to NGO Movimiento Africa 70 and to the coordinator of this project, Ilaria Piccilli.
