[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1414605609352683.jpg [Salamanca is a city in which the majority of the buildings at the Urban Centre are constructed with Villamayor´s stone, a sandstone which comes from a nearby village. In rare occasions appear buildings, like the one you can see on the right of the photo, which is made of bronze and another type of stone very similar to Villamayor´s stone which comes from other city. The principal reason for not using our stone it is because this sandstone must not be used in ventilated façade and it is thought that the evolution of constructive techniques preclude use these antique materials. I think that the evolution must be able to reach that our local materials can be used with modern technics of construction.][1]
