Looking at this picture of Pudong skyline, the typical postcard view of Shanghai, we can see a majority of buildings that were designed by Western or Japanese architectural bureaus. If we think of what these buildings are made of, we realize the structure is made out of steel imported from Australia. Moreover, they house offices of global companies based in the US or Europe eager to caveat into the lucrative Chinese economy. So, is the world getting Chinese or is China getting global?
