An example of the construction activity is these buildings. The company which is the main contractor of this project is the QBC, a local building company.This company produces also materials such as Blocks & Foundations,Cable Tiles,Car / Wheel Stoppers,Catch Pit Chambers / Link Boxes,Concrete Bollards,Culverts,Electrical Joint Bays,Gull Pots & Cover Slabs,Kerbstones,Manholes & Manhole Cover Slabs,Paving Slabs,Pipes,Spacers & Pipe Suppport,Stairs, that are useful for the elevation of the building. Although, some really important materials like steel and cement are imports from the neiborhood countries. The globalization of economy is obvious in Qatar. In the next decade estimated that building construction material like wood, boards, timber, veneer and laminates, sanitary wares and systems, glazing systems, MEP hardware, such as lighting, HVAC, fire and safety systems and door systems, flooring and ceiling systems and paints, will be only imports.
