In Singapore the construction material has a very close tie with the regional supply. As Singapore has not much resources on its own it has to heavily dependant on imported raw materials. Steel can be mostly imported from Malaysia and China. For sand and concrete they are mostly from Indonesia. For glass it can be from neighbouring Indonesia and Malaysia as well but for high end application it can be imported as far from Europe like Italy.
