While the concept of pre-manufactured buildings has been around for some time, they are reaching a new level of sophistication. At first glance this building may appear as if it has been traditionally constructed here in the U.S. within the community that the building is located. Parts of this building were assembled in Pennsylvania from global components. Collection and final assembly took place in New York but required a large amount of fossil fuels and wear on local infrastructure as the pieces were large to move across roads and bridges. Some local labor was used for flooring installation and other peripheral parts but the bulk of the construction took place a great distance away from the final site. Companies that are creating pre-manufactured buildings are only increasing, I predict that we will see a rise in this practice. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14140630941913147.jpg
