The materials used in this building shown by the picture were reinforced concrete for the structure, gypsum boards as coating and aluminium to structure the gypsum board and as tubing for electrical installations. Brazil is a concrete, gypsum, steel and aluminium producer but is an importer as well. The rates of aluminium importation are increasing, according to the Brazilian Aluminum Association, the lack of investment in the aluminum sector in Brazil should lead the country to become a metal importer from 2016.
