Apartment housing in Copenhagen [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14148512187946086.jpg In my believe, a lot of buildings in Denmark are a great example of sustainable cities as most of the building components are produced in Denmark. For example, clay bricks and roofing tiles or any other clay products, shown in a picture, as well as concrete elements which are used for most of the buildings are all produced by the local manufacturers in different places in Denmark. Although, as it is said previously "...almost every building contains components of a globalized economy" constructions in Denmark is not the exception. There are two major building materials that are exported by in Denmark- wood and steel to produce such construction elements as wooden window frames, fascia or steel balcony railing, drain stack pipes, as shown in a picture. In my opinion, more or less all constructions in all over the world represent a localised activity but also contain components of a globalized economy because of our different continents we are living in, our living style, temperature, nature as well. In my believe, every country is trying to use all the resources they have in their countries but are also forced to use globalized materials at some degree to fulfill the need of new building design solutions which require different more innovative materials that cannot be found in the country where building is built.
