![enter image description here][2] The 1st picture was taken in Hongkong. The 2nd picture was taken in Singapore. When we take pictures focusing on the building itself without the surrounding context, we hardly can tell the location. It looks almost the same, glass facade high rise building block as result of globalized architecture style, building material and construction method. It is liberating but in one way also saddening. Globalized economy has blurred distance and technology enabled us to manipulate the micro climate to create ideal living environment, however it has also killed locality and producing sameness. The city becomes generic and following the same pattern, which is replicated almost all over the world. When you see a picture of glass facade tower, we identify it "the city" but we have no idea where is it exactly on the map.
