1. The image was taken from the 51st floor of the Marina Bay Sands. The photo shows the Marina Bay area in the foreground and the north side of the city in the background. The immediate visible information includes the varying height of the buildings, the varying building footprint densities, the highways and vehicular traffic, different land-uses. 2. Invisible information such as the number of people in one place at a time can be approximately estimated from the visible information of the number of buildings and their heights and land-use. HOW - The density of the building footprints (visible) can give indication of the amount and quality of street culture (invisible). These are most likely inversely related. 3.Knowing the number of people in one place at a time can be very useful information when determining where and what type of commercial outlets may be located to compliment the type of people in that place at that time. This will provide more convenience to the people in that place and avoid them from travelling farther thus reducing traffic congestion elsewhere. Knowing the footprint area and height of the building, one may calculate the approximate amount of floors and thus max capacity of people in the building. Given the land-use, such as office, one is able to approximately calculate the max number of people at a given time in that area. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14181099247010755.jpg
