**Visible**: A sunny day in downtown Singapore view from Dhoby Ghaut. As you can see even though there are a lot of skyscrapers in the skyline but the lush greenery has not be neglected. The urban development has been thoughtfully planned to fit in greenery in between concrete jungle wherever possible. Singapore has thus be known as the "garden city". **Invisible**: 1. Singapore has one of the highest energy consumption in the world compared to most industrialised countries. Detailed statistics can be found [here][2]. With the geographical advantage in the tropical climate Singapore can install more solar panels on top of the high rise buildings to curb the dependence on conventional power generators which in return can reduce carbon footprint and generate power in a more sustainable way. High rise buildings also ensure a wider unblock rooftop to receive the maximum amount of sunlight. 2. From the picture you can see there are pedestrians crossings but no dedicated trek for cyclists. To promote a greener city more dedicated trek should be built to promote cycling rather than driving. Currently only limited places have designated trek for cycling and for other places cyclists generally has to share the same road with motorists and this can be detrimental to the cyclists in the event of accident.
