Moreover, many buses are parked on the side of the road. There are no passengers in those buses, they are waiting for some. Lights are really bright and not far from each other (28 meters). There are trees along the road. From this picture, we can deduce two pieces of "invisible information". 1. The side of the road that is congested leads to the suburbs whereas the other side leads to the centre of Paris. This means that during the week-ends, on saturdays, people from the suburbs come to Paris, the urban center, for the day. They all leave at the end of the day, leading to traffic jams. 2. This bus network is temporary : it remplaces the subway as 4 stations are closed because of renovation. However, we can notice that the buses are not used, they are waiting for passengers. This shows that when the subway does not work, it does not mean that they will need another means of transport. As only 4 stations are closed, people prefer to walk rather than to take a bus, that will be blocked during rush hour. Through the first information, we can acknowledge that this road is a major artery and therefore a place where human flows is important. People enter and leave Paris through this road. Therefore it is important to make the traffic more fluid and to extend the subway outside of Paris to prevent people from using their cars. It is also important to make that area more agreeable to incite people to walk.
