Visible and invisible in a town center
FC-01x Future Cities (1st Run) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

1. This is a picture taken in the center of my hometown (Laval, France). In this photo different types of information are directly visible: it is a passing area: there are cars (and a paved route), buses (and several bus stops), pedestrians (there is pavement). There also is a stop for people who want to borrow bikes (it is therefore probably a passing area if they chose to put it there). There are trees, a post office and an ATM. 2. One can extract two main invisible information from this picture: the number of people using the bike stop/day (taking out bikes and putting them back) and the number of people using the ATM/day. 3. We can use the data extracted from the bike scheme utilisation to see if this bike stop location is really efficient and compare it to the number of users in other locations to try to improve the location decisions of those stops. ![enter image description here][2] [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14130547575885099.jpg
