[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/141379391812193.jpg Visible information: Signs indicate established businesses and temporary events. Endorsed graffiti and outdoor chandelier (behind walkway in middle of street) says This is a creative place and open to nonconformity. Posters advertise upcoming music and art performances. Little blue/white sign says this area is watched by security cameras. Invisible information: (1) Parking policy is unclear, so people leave vehicles in unmarked places. But, design or area seems to indicate that is OK. (2) Area businesses seem very concerned with environmental issues / sustainability, but provide no information about electricity usage, energy efficiency, CO2 footprint of buildings. Solution: Buildings could report (via digital signs, or website) details about number of visitors (fraction by foot, fraction by car / etc.), building energy consumption, CO2 footprint, etc.
