The visible information in this photo is the activity of the users some are working, some are there for rest/leisure. The image also gives a sense of the scale and enclosure of the space which is a result of the built environment/Urban design/landscaping. The invisible information in the image is the adaptability of the public spaces urban form. Throught the week its form and uses constantly change with weather and movement of people. The square itself becomes an integral part of the city as a social hub/meeting point and as a way finding device for local and tourists. On certain days it function as a market/ a place of exchange for social, economic and cultural acitivtes. Furthermore throughout the week it continues to serve as part of a travel route for many. The figures for this would fluctuate doing on the day/weather. For example during the week, whilst most are working it is very buys in the morning/afternoons, whereas at the weekend it is very busy in the middle of the day![enter image description here][2] Photograph shown is take by me.
