[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14180912038690829.jpg This is an image of Bucharest, showing various visible information such as: the main river that crosses the city (Dâmboviţa) and how the river is fitted or equipped within the city. the vegetation alongside the river and streets (an important characteristic for this city) the congested traffic the various building types As for the invisible information extracted from the visible: the river is actually underground, the water visible isn't flowing but rather a juxtaposition of artificial lakes the trees are a part a city-wide "network" of high vegetation (which is abundant here, as opposed to the actual sq meters of green land) the traffic is the result of a combination of factors of which I mention: the infrastructure's lack of modernization and a particular mentality and affinity towards private transport and against public transport the ecclectic mix of buildings is the direct result of a lack of building regulation In regards to the planning of a more liveable city, I believe that understanding the roots of the traffic problem can help turn it around by changing the mentality of the city's inhabitants, which would also help in other areas of the city's problems. One need only look at Copenhagen's bike reform to see it is possible...
