The second piece of information I notice is fallen leaves. This may seem trivial, but because this town is very dependent on tourist traffic, turning evidence of leaves falling and color changes by time of year could be very helpful in promoting tourism. I will go into more detail however, about the cars. This can be recorded in terms of frequency and density of cars during different times of the day or, in perhaps a more complex way, tracked in terms of where cars are flowing throughout town. This information is helpful for regulating traffic signals, obviously, but from a planning standpoint can also be useful for making decisions on behalf of pedestrian traffic, parking spaces, and street changes that support other forms of transit. Perhaps these data could even be used to approximate carbon or other emissions in different parts of town, and lend understanding to any air quality problems that might arise.
