The organisation of the city is quite interesting, but not unusual for German cities. The photo was taken from a bridge over the railway, which is also part of the last circle (the city is organised in concentric circles). The visible information we can read from the photo: - Buildings - different storeys, different image - Trees - Railway - tower of the cathedral: you can see only the spire in this photo - cars - people (maybe there is noone to see in this photo, but if you spend 5 minutes on that spot, you can see that in the area there is a lot of movement) The invisible information: - the area is a "living" one (what i also wrote two rows above). Actually even if we don't see the movement in the photo, we can imagine it is there: we can read from the photo, that this area is somewhere, where the connection is good, there are some parked cars, the building with the glass facade gives the idea of working places. -the area has been through changes and developments. The building have different images, different facades and probably different functions. Of course if we know more about the location of this spot or about the history of the city, we could understand more, but i think so much can be deducted even from one photo. This knowledge can be used to understand how people react to changing environment. Do they accept the "new". How to build somewhere, where there are existing structures? The green belt is actually a logical action because if the railway, but still a good action to be continued.
