Invisible information extracted: From the steep angle of the roofs, one can tell that sometimes heavy snow falls in this place; the roofs are at that angle so the snow will slide off to the side and not pile up on top of the roof (if snow piles up too much, it can even cause a cave-in). This says something about the weather and temperature/climate of the area (it can be cold, and there is a lot of water). The condition of the road (it is well paved and painted with lines)suggests that this road is often used. 3. The information about the roofs can be made into knowledge when one understands that the need for slanty roofs (lots of snow in winter) means that this place can get very cold (but it's not always that cold, as we can see from the fact that there's no snow in the picture). This information can be used to keep in mind insulation concerns when designing new houses; for example, one might want to know what is the most effective insulation, what are the most environmentally sustainable materials, what's the most effective way to de-insulate during the summer and re-insulate in winter, etc...
