1) Visible information in the Picture: a) Zebra crossing, b) High Street lamps, c) Metallic road with Narrow Median Strip and shoulders, d) Overhead Electric cables, e) Rotary with a sculpture as a landmark, f) Absence of traffic signals. 2) Invisible information in the Picture: a) Pedestrian walking on road due to absence of pedestrian path, b) Overhead electric cables can cause hazards, c) No clear demarcation between metallic road and its shoulders, thus would lead to fatal accidents. Where there is a sudden change in road character, collisions/accidents tend to be more frequent as it alters a driver's expectations. Similar example is visible in this picture. Lack of proper road demarcation and absence of provision of pedestrian paths lead to accidents and traffic disruptions. Inadvertent contact with live overhead power cables causes serious injuries. Thus, future designs should be holistic, so that they cater the infrastructure requirements as well as make cities safer for people living there.
