The two most dominant fossil fuels used in Croatia in 2013 was **Oil and Gas**. ![diafram taken from statistic page; www.iea.org/sankey ][1] **Q2Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country?** Oil is manly used for transportation (around 97%). ![enter image description here][2] Gas is used in industry, non energy use and other fields. ![enter image description here][3] ![enter image description here][4] **Q3 It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that?** To decrease usage of oil comsumption in Croatia i would invest in public transport so individual transport should be reduced when possible. Improving and extending the public transport and its network in cities and across the cities and country would help. Also the goverment and EU fonds in our country are allready giving financial incentives for the use and buy of hybrid cars/vehicles . As it is statistic that i croatia every family with more than 3 members have an average of two or more vehicles; i would make it mandatory ; at laeast for near future; that at least one or all cars are hybrid or electric cars. Consequently it would be less demand and reduction in oil fuel which is a non-renewable energy. The use of electricar cars would improve use of electrical energy wich is a renewable source of energy. Building sector and urban planing could also help reducing energy consumption with a high standard of energy efficiency in all new buildings and public spaces.
