Busy street in Gliwice, Poland
FC-01x Future Cities (1st Run) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

I have taken the photo in Gliwice, the city where I study. What can be easily seen in here is the mix of architecture, buildings from the beginning of the previous century in the back, flats from the '70 on the left and modern apartments on the right. One can also see the level of traffic, quality of the road and the amount of people on the bus stop. Two invisible information that can be extracted from the picture are: - characteristics of the people using public transportation: age, occupation, destination - pollution produced by cars vs oxygen from the trees Both invisible information are crucial for the well being of the people using this space. For example, gathered information about the user's occupation (students, workers, retired) can be translated into knowledge by finding the most important majorities and using it to design a 'tailored' surroundings in the future.
