This is a picture of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA I took in August, while on the roof of a restaurant to watch a movie screening. You can see the lights that illuminate the interiors of various buildings. You can see the advertisement of a restaurant below. You can see people coming together on the roof above that restaurant. On the bottom right side you can see the street and the cars that drive on it. In the middle/right you can see an antenna tower, that I assume transmits and receives data to and from various sources. 2. Because the lights are still on in several buildings, even at dusk/night, that means that businesses are still running at this time of night, trying to get work done and improve their business. Also, with the crowded restaurant across the street and street with many cars, we can infer downtown is a busy place, even at night, and so economic activity is always happening 3. Because we can tell downtown is a busy place, even at night, we can take steps to learn more about all the various uses people make of downtown, what's they're doing, how they're living, and try to make it an even more livable space for all people living and working downtown. The more people downtown, the more economic activity these people generate.
