This can enable the city management to make the street pedestrian or restrict car access and parking depending on time and day. Offices and shops may need car access and parking during the day for example, whereas the street could be freed for pedestrians visiting the local bars during evenings. On weekend mornings, the street could become an open-air market with restricted car access.
