As we can see, there is a large amount of congestion of buses going all the way across the bridge, due to the picture being taken in peak-hour. What we can't see is the long wait times for customers for bus services, due to the high traffic and lack of frequent services to each route. The bus station's location also causes traffic problems further on from the station, as the build up of buses blocks intersections, causing congestion through the city. This bus station has not been planned to cope with the growing population of Brisbane, and the growing public transport needs. This information can be used to further plan bus stations, their locations, and the amount of traffic that a single platform can handle, to help build more sustainable and convenient public transport systems for growing cities.
