1.Flows coming in: Foreign workers. Foreign workers coming in my country consist of Malaysiers, Chinees and brazilian workers. 2. Staying: most of the Brazilians and Chinese workers try and stay, but the Malaysians mostly focus on making money and going back home. 3. Flows leaving; Gold and timber. The effect in the long term. The Chinese in my opinion are building an empire, but not in the sense that western powers have build empires. the Chinese government does not send soldiers, they send merchants. these merchants not only invest heavily in extracting valuable resources but they cut out the middle man in trading Chinese goods. Chinese people buy property set up stores and sell Chinese stuff. Furthermore they opt for the nationality which will eventually create a Chinese majority which can garner political power. In the long term flows from foreign labor to Suriname will not only change our demographics but also our politics and the lungs of the world. As I said 90% of Suriname is covered with rain forest. The extraction of minerals, timber and gold, will eventually see the lungs of the world destroyed. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14181490117477543.jpg
