Tijuana, Mexico - Stocks & Flows
FC-01x Future Cities (1st Run) - Exercise 2: "Stocks and Flows"
Uploaded on 2014-11-12 by calivega
**Tourists:** Tijuana has an international border with the United States, and it receives tourism from the U.S., so there is a flow of visitors. **Water:** We receive water from an eastern river called “Colorado River” at about 273 km from Tijuana. After the water is consumed for human use, it is treated for reuse in farming, public parks and the excess treated water is discharged into the ocean. **Production:** Tijuana is an important “assembler” of products. We receive manufactured parts from different parts of the world, and they are assembled into final products, and then they are exported to other countries. **Question 3:** **Tourists:** We can encourage more Eco-Friendly activites like more use of the beach, hiking and other outside sports. **Water:** Tijuana is a dry land, and instead of discharging water into the ocean, we could use better water treatment systems to recycle 100% of the water used in the city. **Production:** Waste is generated from manufacturing and assembly. Most part of the waste can be recycled. ![enter image description here][1] ![enter image description here][2] ![enter image description here][3] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14157610735101971.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14157610867823721.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14157611033244243.jpg
