Handcrafted dresses ( stocks ) are made in Ahmedabad from clothes which are brought from different cities of India. Once they are sold they travel to different parts of Ahmedabad and different cities of India. In India, this kind of activities take place invariably in all cities. City planning never takes care of these demands and they happen haphazardly. With the help of 'Stocks and Flows' model, we can incorporate and give a designed space for these activities when we plan a neighborhood or a city. View 3 : I have considered roads; though they do not enter, stay and leave a city, because they present a nice opportunity to use this model. When I came to stay in this area 20 years back, this road was only 8m. wide. Then it became a two-lane road. Then footpaths were added. They were again reworked when BRTS was introduced. If we keep ' Stocks and Flows ' in mind it can help us design roads for future.
