Delhi is an important city from the point of view of daily people moving into the city from nearby satellite towns (Gurgaon,Noida) for job, education and or tourist movement into the city from various parts of India and abroad;therefore population is the major flow followed by fuels like petrol and diesel, and some invisible flows like electricity, food and water. The major stocks are its Central Business Districts like Nehru Place, Connought Place, etc, Educational Institutions and water, as the city is situated along Banks of River Yamuna. The flow of population from satellite towns and surrounding areas into the city put a lot of stress on city infrastructure and quality of environment. The city is trying to cope with excessive vehicular traffic, congestion and also poor air quality due to fuel emissions. But the positive side of these flows is the economic development in the city and the high GDP contribution, which has contributed towards building better infrastructure like Delhi Metro. Delhi Metro as in-turn reduced road based travel and also carbon emissions. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14181019334785886.jpg
