Uploaded on 2014-11-16 by jfcovargas
By example, Santiago is a "City-University", where the stock are the Universities where students of different cities and countries come to study. They can be considerated as a flow. Another important city flow are food and "ferias" or street markets. They appear one or more days in some streets, and last about 8 hours to finally disappear until the coming week. Its transitory behavior works as a flow, but also becomes a stock of culture and "social friction", creating social heritage. In the same idea of street markets, we can find street sellers in different places in town, specially in subway exits and bus terminals. Finally, Santiago owns the biggest industrial stock in the country, consecuence of the centralism predominating in Chile. This creates great flows of work, food, traffic and people, projecting the city to grow bigger and bigger through time. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14161662426987631.jpg
