However I would like to focus on PEOPLE, more precisely, on ethnic diversity in Zurich’s urban context. Not only this ” stocks and flows” example better fits to my knowledge, experience and judgment, but also I consider it to be the most conflicting in Switzerland in comparison to its other very well advanced stocks and flows I have mentioned above. As someone coming from New York, the most ethnically diverse metropolitan, and settling in Zurich, a city with contradictory ideologies towards newcomers, I can clearly see significant differences in terms of receptive vs. conservative, speculative vs. safe, resilient vs. insipid. In today’s globalized world I believe that it is crucial for a city like Zurich to revisit the diversity integration measures and to develop a more positive understanding of it. As proven in other cities and countries, the promotion of ethnic diversity further contributes to the other stocks and flows such as economy, culture, education and resilience. Here is a fun photo by me implying diversity. Art installation in a passage of Langstrasse Zurich ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14166811789501373.jpg
