The designs depend for its effect on the variety of stitches and different grades of threads used to form the patterns. Chikan embroidery in Lucknow is the biggest artisan cluster of India. There are about 5 million artisans of hand embroidery associated with this cluster which acts as stock of the city. There are about 4000 manufacturing units in Lucknow. The total turnover of the industry is about 200 million dollars. The finished product is not only sold across the country but also exported and these form the flows of the city. The next big stock and flows in this city is its **Mughlai Cuisine**. The cuisine consists of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Awadh has been greatly influenced by Mughal cooking techniques. The richness of Awadhi cuisine lies not only in the variety of cuisine but also is the ingredients used and the unique method of cooking. The Chefs of Awadhi transformed the traditional dastarkhwan (manner of serving) with elaborate dishes. This skill forms the stock of the city. People from all over the world come to Lucknow to have this cuisine which is also exported out of the city and also the country.
