Flows: -Tourists and pilgrims, specially in the called Holy Year. -Students, related with the University placed in the city. -Products of the rural hinterland; the production of the rural space feeds the city. Stocks: -Cultural spaces. -Historical heritage. -Gastronomically places. 2. Findings based on the concept: Flows: Santiago is the capital of the Galician region in Spain. And its great historical heritage is well represented by the medieval cathedral, object of pilgrimage. This pilgrims and travellers are an up and down flow that depends of the years and of the season, but constant on its presence. Parallel the University placed on Santiago gives the city one flow of students between 15.000 and 30.000 depending on the years and on cycles on last ten / fifteen years. In order to maintain all the people the rural hinterland provides of one constant flow of products, depending also of demand and season. ![enter image description here][1] Stocks: All this items are sustained by one strong historical heritage, sustained by restorations and historical works. It maintains one strong cultural industry based on historical, archaeological and art contents. And also the rich gastronomy gave one strong gastronomic industry, placed specially on the old town. ![enter image description here][2] 3. Future: The city will need look to new fields. The historic and touristic orientation makes one old city, relying only on the will of the people to come (visit, studying...), but without any capability for its own action. There is necessary to expand the evolution of the city to other perspectives but never forgetting the aspects that we’ve already said.
