***• Fresh water:*** One of the functions of the moors in Ecosystems is to allow the birth of the rivers of water resources will serve for Population, where a turn storage processes and water regulation will occur. Two hours away (108 km.) we can found the **Cotopaxi National Park** is one of the most visited because it is located in the center of the inter-Andean corridor and close to several cities like Quito and Latacunga. The dominant ecosystem in the park is moorland, with its special flora and fauna so the main vegetation is scrubland and small shrubs tall. Mainly to protect the ecosystem of moorland, it is very interesting to know the adaptations of vegetation to support and develop in such a harsh climate. The Cotopaxi volcano is unique on the planet, located in an altitudinal range between 3,400-5,897 meters above sea level. ![Cotopaxi view from my aunt ´s house Quito][1] Photo credits: Paulina Feijóo ![Cotopaxi National Park - Moorland][2] Source:https://www.google.com.ec/search?q=im%C3%A1genes+del+parque+nacional+cotopaxi&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=755&source=lnms&tbm=ischsa=X&ved=0ahUKEwitqKfUt7rMAhWBlh4KHbb7CuMQ_AUIBigB#imgdii=8PZDUGfDjq5byM%3A%3B8PZDUGfDjq5byM%3A%3BvsC2_FjtjYHcUM%3A&imgrc=8PZDUGfDjq5byM%3A **b. Regulating services** ***• Carbon sequestration and storage:*** Ecuador is a small country, where in three hours you can reach the Amazon region from the capital. For this reason and because the ecosystem called **Amazon Rainforest** and its influence is worldwide, I've selectioned as a regulator of coal secuestration services and storage. More than 30% of the national area corresponds to this ecosystem, it is a heterogeneous and diverse ecosystem of forests, with a warm and humid climate. Its trees have height ranging between 30 and 40 meters. It is estimated that there are about 200 species of trees per hectare not settle in flood-prone areas, however is a high rainfall area. ![Amazon Rainforest][3] Source:https://www.google.com/search?q=ecosistemas+terrestres+ecuador&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj4vKGavbnMAhUEwiYKHSh0A3AQsAQILQ&biw=975&bih=458#tbm=isch&q=im%C3%A1genes+bosque+h%C3%BAmedo+amaz%C3%B3nico+Ecuador&imgrc=DiooMUCBwOanfM%3A **c.
