River Paraibuna Is and important river that crosses Juiz de Fora and was on it's margins that the city was born, being the main source of water and way of transportation from one place to the other on the first decades of the city's development. ![Paraibuna river][1] b. Regulating services The Krambeck Mata is one of the last and most important ecological heritage of the Juiz de Fora city. With an area of 374.1 hectares , it is a lush Atlantic Forest fragment. Located between the city center and the industrial zone , is considered responsible for the interruption of the urban network , representing one of the largest continuous Atlantic Forest of the city, causing a beautiful scenic effect and playing an important role on temperature regulation of the area and home for a big diversity of animals and plants. ![Krambeck forest][2] c. Habitat or Supporting services The Federal University of Juiz de Fora is an open green space where not only student go daily, but also other residents including families with kids. There are a number of outdoor activities taking place on campus and It's the biggest and the most important open green area inside the urban area of Juiz de Fora. Also great number of researches on biology take place there. ![UFJF][3] d. Cultural services Mariano Procopio Museum is one of the richest (culturally speaking) museums in Minas. It has a very distinctive collection of nineteenth and early twentieth century. The highlight is the collection of the imperial period, but is also rich in sculptures, paintings, pieces of natural history and other treasures.
