- 1.Housing - 2.Sanitation Standards - 3.Safety - 4.Political Stability - 5.Job Opportunities **2.Why do we live where we live?** I live in Munich, Germany. My top five reasons are: - 1.Social Connections (family, friends, communities) - 2.Environment - 3.Education - 4.Opportunities - 5.Infrastructure ![Munich][1] The centre of Munich ![Siegestor][2] The huge party from "Odeonsplatz" to "Münchner Freiheit" in 2014 after the world cup finals in football (in this picture: the "Siegestor"). **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** Munich fulfills my ideal livability criteria as it follows: - Housing – 60 - Sanitation Standards – 100 - Safety – 90 - Political Stability – 90 - Job Opportunities – 100 In my view Munich has a general livability score of 90. **4.What would you change?** If I were the mayor of Munich, I would introduce a so called “rent brake” (“Mietpreisbremse”) to counter the heavily rising prices for housing in the city. **5.Why do we move?** *Auckland, New Zealand* - 1.Opportunities - 2.Environment - 3.Political Stability - 4.Housing - 5.Safety *Zurich, Switzerland* - 1.Opportunities - 2.Environment - 3.Education - 4.Political Stability - 5.Safety *Chiang Mai, Thailand* - Housing - Environment - Opportunities - Climate - International Connectivity [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14571761717446625.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14571763408091912.jpg
