1. Which are your top livability criteria? Education, Housing, Infrastructure, Safety, Transportation. 2. Why do we live where we live? I live in the capital city of Uruguay which is Montevideo. Montevideo has a population of 1.5 million. This is one of the qualities I find mor attractive of the city, the scale. It is not too big, but not too small. This applies to population, geographical extense and scale of buildings. ![Industrial Port][1] Another characteristic that I enjoy is that it is safe. Speacially the neighberhood that I live in, that is Puta Carretas. I can walk around all the time, and all though crime does happen it is not as bad as other cities in South America. I acknoledwge there are not too many activities or attraction for tourists to visit, but there a lot of nice places to hang out, which making living in this city enjoyable, For exaple the about 15km long rambla that extends through all the border of the city on the Rio de la Plata. it is an excellent place to meet up with friends and also to excercise. Having living on the countryside I realised that one of the things I enjoy most about living in a city is that the are numerous number of bars, clubs, or theatres for cultural activities. Although it is on a small scale and cant compare to cultural activities on cities such as New York, it still provides the population with activities to keep themselves entertained during weekends or after work. Lastly I chose my neighberhoos beacuse f it closeness to everywhere I need to go. I am within a 15 min walk of my school and my work placce. Usually I am no more than 20 minutes away by car from anywhere I need to go. 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? My area (neighberhood) 80 The city 50 4. What would you change? What I would chnage about my city is I would try to invest more in educatio. One of the biggest problems is the difference in education between classes, not only talking about academics but also about moral values. There is everyday a greater distance between lower and higher classes. Maybe by creating shared public places there could be a greater connectioon between classes and therefore more respect for each other. Another thing that needs to be donde is make transportation more efficient. Public transportation its not satisfactory in terms of time that takes you to get from point A to B. Itshould also be cheaper to make it more accesible. 5. Why do we move? New York City Buenos Aires Toronto I selected these places beacuse of they have good INFRASTRUCTURE, TRANSPORTATION, INTERNATIONAL CONECTIVITY, SAFETY and EDUCATION opportunities [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14575289234749056.jpg
