![][1] 2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? Oil is the most dominant fossil used in Mexico, also is the biggest one that the country exports in two different phases of production, mostly the one that remains in the country is used for transport. 3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? It is not surprising that transport is the dominant consumer of energy, the dependence of the car has increase for long distances and lack of transport in terms of quality and quantity, the country has expanded its population increasing the need of moving, inside Mexico city and outside Mexico city, since the government took out the train to move inside the country now people just have bus or airplane being the last one a big consumer of energy and CO2 emitter, inside Mexico city population has grown in a mad way but also we add that many job opportunities are here, hence people from the nearby come and return every day increasing the number of cars In the city for almost the double of the citizens, public transport is mostly use by low social economic people and is not sufficient people from upper social classes would like to use public transport as well but it is not sufficient for all the population making it complicated to use by all, I think that it is hard to make sustainable a huge metropolis like Mexico city, it would be easier in smaller areas like the states, they can improve transport by adding train to arrive to the near and far communities, the use of bicycle has increase in the city but distances still being a problem, I also think that the population of the city needs to decrease many people from the states have emigrated to the city for job opportunities as well as safety from the drug war that they live there and the city doesn’t have, if the government improves the livability in the states people will go there, like is the case of some states where Japanese enterprises are investing making them more attractive to move in.
