The dominant fossil fuel used in my country is coal (7.98 Mtoe) followed by oil (3.26 Mtoe) and gas (1.92 Mtoe). ![Serbia 2013 Sankey diagram][1] **2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country?** Transportation consumes most of the fossil fuels directly with total 1.87 Mtoe of mostly oil products. Industry totals around 1.33 Mtoe of natural gas (0.71), oil products (0.37) and coal (0.25). Around 88% of electricity is produced using fossil fuels and 55% of the power produced goes into power losses. ![Serbia 2013 Sankey 2][2] **3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy.** 1. Getting more energy from *hydro*, *solar*, *wind* and *biofuels* instead of *coal* and *gas*. 2. Building and promoting the use of solar panels and wind farms. 3. Develop better public transportation in urban areas to reduce the use of private cars. 4. Promote the use of "clean energy" for industry and personal use. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14579705298456909.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14579707709975102.jpg
