*What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country?* First is **oil** with up to 138,2 tons, second is **gas** with up to 90.8 tons and third is **coal** with up to 82.5 tons. *Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country?* **Oil** is mainly used for transport. ![Transport][1] **Gas** is used in industry and "other". ![InOt][2] Almost all **coal** is used in power stations for creating electricity. ![Power][3] *It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that?* The first thing I realize is that the amount of renewables is even tinier than I thought them to be in comparison to fossil fuels. The first thing to implement is to reduce the amount of energy consumed. However, this is something every individual has to do. Governments do not have much influence here, but they could for example start reducing the amount of cars inside the cities or restrict products that are not sustainable, i.e. consuming lots of energy and producing huge amounts of excess heat. Additionally, in Germany we could subsidies renewable energy sources and non-CO2 emitting energy sources, e.g. wind, solar, geothermal, hydrogen etc., even more. In the same turn, inventing a new tax for consuming energy produced by fossil fuels could be an option.
