![Brazil's Sankey Diagram][1] As we can see in the diagram above, the dominant fossil fuel used in Brazil is the oil, followed by the bio/waste and hydro. **2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country?** The oil is mainly used in transportation, and the most part of the bio/waste production is used by the industry. **3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy.** As can be seen in the diagram, most of the fossil fuel consumption is in transport. So the solution is improve the mobility and the public transportation system to encourage the people to use others modes of transportation and than decrease the big number of cars in the streets that cause many other problems in addition to the large consumption of fossil fuel. Furthermore, the implementation of electric cars also contributes greatly to reduce this large consumption. Another solution relative to the industry is the use of renewable energy sources, which are not widely used in Brazil because they have a high initial cost, but nevertheless bring many long-term benefits.
