The dominant fossil fuels used in the US are Oil, Coal and Gas. the greatest amount of oil production is consumed by Transportation. The lions share of both the coal and gas production is consumed by power stations that convert it into electricity. Wind Power and Solar Power can be used for electric and heating consumption therby reducing the need for the power plants consumption and emissions.
